Pishgaman and Farzanagan-e-Jawan; ISFL Model Schools

At the end of the academic year and after the graduation of school students, Rebuild Consultants and its partner schools held a grand gathering at the Rebuild Consultants office for the purpose of appreciating and commemorating the partner schools and their teachers for a year of cooperation and collaboration in the field of education and the implementation of the Islamic Student Focused Learning (ISFL) method.

In the gathering, Rebuild’s president, school principals and teachers of various grades delivered brief speeches. The programme started with recitation of Holy Quran by Mr. Akhundzada. Then, Mr. Peter Reynolds, Rebuild Consultants’ President, while appreciating and thanking the partner schools and teachers, emphasized that “Change is not easy, and if we want to change Afghanistan, the only powerful weapon is education.”

After that, the school teachers shared their words and thoughts. They talked about their experiences, their achievements, and their challenges regarding the process of implementing the ISFL method, and made suggestions to Rebuild and school principals for improving the educational process. The school administrators, in turn, expressed their gratitude for the cooperation of all three organisations in the field of education, as well as the Hamyar team for their cooperation with teachers and students. They, then, went on to call the past year, despite all of its great challenges, a significant year and a year full of achievements.

Mr. Kashmiri, Rebuild’s educational manager, was another speaker of the event. He spoke about the achievements, the teachers’ assessment process, the challenges in the implementation of the method, the vision and the objectives of learning through Hamyari. He also provided answers to the possible questions of the participants, and he exhibited the teachers’ assessments with their success levels. Finally, he called Pishgaman and Farzanagan-e-Jawan ISFL model schools, and congratulated them on their success, and asked them to continue their cooperation with Rebuild.

The gathering ended with games and entertainment, provision of feedback by the teachers to Hamyars, presentation of appreciation certificates to both schools by Rebuild, and appreciating the teachers and presenting them with cactus flowers as a symbol of education and resistance. And, of course, the programme ended also with cake
